Roman II Telescope Launches

The Sol Planet Federation’s Astronomical Science Administration has launched Roman II, named after Dr. Nancy Grace Roman, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s first chief astronomer. This will be the second telescope named after the astronomer—the first which was launched by the retired agency back in 2026. Roman is credited as the driving force behind NASA’s entire “Great Observatories” program. “Roman delivered images that reshaped humanity’s understanding of the universe,” said ASA Administrator Heather Robinson. “We expect Roman II will do the same.”
