The passing of Shelby Forrest has saddened the entire Solar System, including famed perfumer Alberta Rapian who announced she is emerging from retirement to create a new scent in remembrance of her good friend. “Besides being savvy and sexy, she was one of the funniest, most generous, warm, genuine people I’ve ever met,” Rapian said. “I already miss her terribly.” She added she hopes when people wear the scent that they will think of Forrest and emulate her when they interact with their families, friends, and strangers. “If I can achieve that, then I’ll feel that I spread her legacy of love.” While Rapian’s perfumes traditionally sell for thousands of credits an ounce, she said her company will price Remembrance at less than 100 credits, with the proceeds supporting Forrest’s literacy foundation, One Word.
