In this first book in the stand-alone Confidential series, Alexandra Addington and Erik Wolfe work to save a colony on borrowed time while fighting a burning attraction, extremists, and the fear of risking their hearts. When asked what took the author so darned long to publish the novel, she said she wondered that herself. She also confirmed she hadn’t had help from any form of artificial intelligence, either for her writing or the art she commissioned, so that likely had some effect on the timeline.
